     Dana tries to provide a lot of information on this website, but what is the most important information is for you to know that Dana cares about you and your family.  That you can trust him to look out for your best interests. 

     Dana really enjoys working with Buyers.  His approach to finding you your next home is simple.  He listens and he previews.  While he does the leg work, you get to enjoy your precious time.  After searching out homes that he knows you will enjoy, you will hopefully have the task of choosing between more than one home that meets or exceeds your requirements.  Keep in mind that the home you want or need is not always available when you want it.  Searching for a home is a process and Dana realizes that your requirements may change. 

Buying Property in the State of Washington

     All states are not the same.  In Washington, the process goes something like this:

          1) You contact your lender so that you will know how much you will feel comfortable spending.
               (Dana has a wonderful lender that he likes to work with if you need one).

          2) You contact Dana to let him know how much and what kind of home you would like.

          3)  Dana finds you a home and then helps you make an offer.

          4)  Dana will then negotiate the offer hopefully to the point of acceptance.

          5)  After acceptance, Earnest Money is deposited in Escrow.

          6)  A property inspection is scheduled at your cost ($300 - $500) usually.

          7)  If you decide after the inspection that you want to proceed, then the inspection is negotiated.

          8)  If you decide after the inspection that you don't want to proceed, then your Earnest Money is returned.
         
          9)  Approximately 30 days after the inspection has been negotiated, you move into your new home.
               (This amount of time is open for negotiation.)
               (You do not have to be present at closing.)
               (Closing documents can be sent anywhere in the world if you are traveling during the process.)

     In the State of Washington a Real Estate Agent must work under the supervision of a Real Estate Broker.  Real Estate Agents are just salespeople.  The education requirements are minimal and supervision is the State's way of looking out for the consumer.  This is a very good thing.  Dana is a Real Estate Broker.
